So, last friday, went before work & picked up an arsenal AK.

Felt really good in my hands, went with one of these:

Took it out friday evening, and on the weekend.

All I can say is  This thing is fucking EXCELLENT. Like, I knew my wasr wasn't anything great. But jeebus, this arsenal ak is fantastic.

No pics, looks just like the one on arsenals site, but with a 30rd mag.
I wish I hadn't bought the wasr to begin with, however long ago that was, becasue I doubt I'll ever shoot it again. gotta put some more rounds through it, but it could easily beat out my beretta storm as the best thing to take with me for just "having fun" at the range.

seriously, I love this friggin gun. feels great, shoots like a dream. Wouldn't mind getting some different furniture for it, but as it is if I couldn't change anything with it I'd still be REALLY glad I bought it.

Literally, after the first shot my face was :eek5:

What exactly would you say makes it better than the WASR?

No trigger slap, my wasr I have issue with mags fitting in it. I've had feeding issues with the wasr, the bolt doesn't close all the way. Just haven't been happy with it.

This feels better when you're holding it. Didn't have issues with magazine insertion. No issues with misfeeds on the ammo. Just a better put together gun. Granted, wasr to arsenal is a big gap between the two. I'm not sure how this compares to the yugo or polish ak's, but I doubt I'll be picking either of those up now that I've bought the arsenal.

Just my opinions, of course. I believe I had an exceptionally bad example of the wasr

I thought you couldn't buy from ffl's. you were denied or whatever...did that get fixed?

And I'm not selling it right now. I'll give it to a friend of mine, or just keep it for any future red dawn scenarios :run:

Why. that money is better used towards guns + ammo.
