I was covering an event last night..was using the 70-200..I switch to the 12-24 and set the 200 in the bag..well it appears I didnt close it right..once I got to the area with the boss..no 70-200 in my bag..I spent the next hour looking around asking everyone I could see..no one knew a thing.

So yeah I just lost my most expensive lens and with my current financial status I have no way to replace it..at least for a year. To say im bummed down is an understatement

I feel about half of your pain.

I borrowed a 100mm 2.8 macro for no real apparent reason. Took my bag on the car, and the lens took a plop. This was on Thursday.

Duuuuuuude. I'm so sorry. That sucks. The 70-200 is my favorite lens by far, if I lost it I would be heart broken too. Maybe you'll find it!

Well I must be one of the luckiest motherfuckers alive..someone found the lens and delivered to security of the hotel..a buddy right now is driving to get it

and as for insurance, ive been trying to get it insured for months with no luck and I work with an insurance company..im definitely going to try again after this..I was borderline about to break down crying..not ashamed to admit it.
