Bought a Springfield 1911 Mil. Spec Parkerized.
what ammo should i be running through this thing?
Probably .45 ACP
the black stainless looks better. but good choice nonetheless.
seriously what are some good ammo manufactures?
for range use i go with cci or wwb. for defense, speer gold dot hollowpoints.
You going to carry this?
no i will not carry it.
ill get out my camera once i get some more stuff moved in. buying new toys during a move is annoying because you cant play
nice i might pick up a sa 1911-a1 soon, not as nice as yours but i like it
Flat MSH + magwell, stat.
Then a lot of WWB, Wolf, and CCI.
FWIW that's all personal preferance. Grips and MSH are usually changed so they fit *your* hand better. As to a magwell are you going to be doing IPSC or other "gun games"? If not it's really not needed and IMO detracts from the looks of the basic Mil Spec pistol. That is unless you're using this as a base to build up a super race gun....
Buy whatever is cheapest
cough bullshit cough they still use the Springfield Armory's seal. Are the 1911-A1's even made in the states? Or is it Croatia?
CCI from your local walmart FTW.
methinks the 1911's are still made in usa. the one i had didn't have the croatia stamp like my XD did.
only the XD's are made in croatia because it's a croatian gun that springfield bought, they arn't moving their factory's over there or anything
