Just signed up today and put down mad monies. I have mixed feelings about it still though. Plus side is that Kru Mark really is an amazing trainer and a great guy. Marcus Davis and Kenny were there and I was free to mix in.

On the other hand.... some of the trainers... honestly they have no business teaching muay thai to anyone that's beyond beginner/intermediate level. and as cool as everyone is there, the trainers like to harp on every little thing i do differently than they learned just cause of the gym i'm from. one of them just stood there and watched me the whole time just waiting to make remarks when i was obviously only sparring at like 50%

also this is the only thing that really bothers me. you know how some bro in a tapout shirt thinks he's got sick skills cause he's wearing a tapout shirt? every sityodtong guy thinks their muay thai is sick just cause they're at sityodtong. the woman at the desk asked me all these questions about my training background before she let me hop in on the class. i told her i've been at it for a while now and have had fights and everything. and even after that she was hesitant so i shot her a smile and jokingly said "don't worry i'm alot tougher than i look" then she goes "yeah everyone says that until they get punched in the face" I literally went :ugh:

yeah she is, but it was directed right at me as soon as i just told her that i've had fights before. that usually means the person knows what its like to get hit. it was more like "yeah well you've never been hit by a sityodtong guy before"

Once I get the details of the trip, I'll do my best to squeeze in some time for class at sidyodtong.

you should have punched the office lady in the face. its kind of like prison. when you first get there - you kick someones ass so they know you aren't a bitch. should have made your precense known by kd'ing that bitch.

oh don't get me wrong. despite my complaints it's still a good place to train. Kru Mark is seriously :bowdown:

I think it's like Drag On said, I just have to establish myself as a regular there and beat some ass. Mixing in with guys like Kenny and Marcus Davis regularly will be amazing. The Harvard wrestling coach was in last night actually and was kinda tooling on both of them :eek3: He's going to be someone to watch out for.

I just wish they'd fucking get over themselves.
