I've been talking about going to Paris this year and every single person is telling me not to because it's overrated and not that fun.

    It's seriously bringing me down.

Well it depends on who you are - Do you go to europe frequently? What other significant travel and cultural experiences have you had?

I think Paris is something everyone should see at least once. There are portions of it that are absolutely breathtaking. As far as fun goes... I haven't really been to the bars here, but if food is your thing there are thousands of cafes all over the place. It's worth at least 3 days.

I was actually not a fan of Paris. Sure it was absolutely amazing for sight seeing but I did not like the local people and it felt like the price for everything was jacked up. Hell, a can of beer at a nearby convenience store cost like 3 euros, although a bottle of wine was cheap, I'll give it that (4 euros lol)

I'm jaded as I've been here several times and currently live here for work, but IDK. They say parisians are snobs, but I feel more welcome here than I do in Milan for instance.

It is amazing for sightseeing and is one of the most historically rich cities we have - Certain parts of the city look straight up medieval, like the building hasn't changed since the 1200's. The palaces and churches are jawdropping - Not just in detail but in sheer scale. The first time I caught a distant glimpse of the behemoth Palais Royale on the horizon from get massive park Jardin des Tuileries, my cock exploded with wonder. I couldn't believe people actually built something that grand and massive. There are dozens of such points in the city.

And the entire area around St Eustache - Forum d. halles: Dick shredding. I couldn't believe it. Like, look at this photo I took:

Yeah, even my camera was too busy masturbating itself to take in color and clarity

The eiffel tower and lawn are cool too ;) There's nothing more relaxing than kicking it on the lawn on a sunny day with a pack of snacks and bottle of wine.

As far as beer goes.. Man you don't buy bottles of beer at cafes  You can go to ANY grocery store and buy a massive 32oz bottle for like 90 cents. Beer is cheap in europe

I didn't actually mean to derail the thread onto the topic of Paris but hearing the phrase 'my camera was too busy masturbating itself' makes it feel like it was for the best.

Paris is so amazing, I could live there for sure. You need to explore a bit to appreciate it. Like Phlab said, the city is absolutely rich in culture. Every corner you take there is something awesome. There are fucking gigantic old buildings like peas fucking everywhere
