Only one way to kick this retarded ass habit. Thanks for the good times WOW....now I can get back to working on my actual life instead of a game. I've canceled my subs before..but always came back. No more. I'm too lazy to ever start a new account. :sadwavey:

you do know that quitting wow is just going to point you towards some other addiction?

do what you need to do first and play wow as a reward later. i'm having to remind myself of that right now. otherwise, i say "oh i'll just play for a minute, i'll do dishes/laundry/etc in just a few". next thing i know it's bedtime.

so now i do everything else first. wow playtime suffers but so what?

Exactly. Take care of your shit first. House.work.woman. Then any spare time play WOW.

sadly, some people dont notice there's a problem until it's too late, if they notice at all.

Going to work on professional certs, school, something. I never finished college, so I might do something in that area. Anything is more productive than wow.

I find myself taking breaks every couple of months lately, and the only reason I play nowadays is because my friends still play... finding it hard to justify the 15 dollars a month lately though when I have so many other great games that are free to play...

you can get your account back even if you do that

but it is more profitable than deletion

There is always the option to repo the account. I don't want that option there. I agree, selling would definately be more profitable.

She only did it that once, and it wasn't that good because she's only average looking :p

As for the addiction, it's really a matter of the paying aspect for some people. They feel like "shit, I'm paying the same every month, I want to get as much as I can out of my 15 bucks, so I'm going to play the shit out of it." That's why a lot of people put off their other stuff to do - they feel like they're getting better value this way.

I don't know about others' intentions, but I was trying to warn you how easy it is to get stuff back incase you might want to take more drastic action to protect your inner crack addict from future attempts at rejoining.

That is exactly why I canceled hubby's and my account again in WoW. We weren't playing enough to justify the expense.

One of the biggest reasons why we love and still play LOTRO....we paid for lifetime subscriptions, so now we don't have a monthly bill. It's awesome.
