I just turned my computer off after being on for a few days, and when i pressed the power button to turn it back on everything powered up looking like normal, but the mobo splash didnt come up and it didnt beep, it just sat there for maybe 30 seconds then powered down, and maybe 3 seconds later started up again but this time it did start up after about 10 seconds of the "nothing".

is this a problem with my psu?

possibly but could be other things, such as mobo.

a bad mobo? or messed up settings?

the problem first started after my raid failed and i was having some problems with the computer posting so i did a long cmos clear, which included taking out the boards battery.

never take out the boards battery -- that is the wrong way to reset the cmos.

you can check your settings (was a common problem in old msi mobos) but it's not too common now.

yea i read on a dfi forum that it was the "proper" way to do a full cmos clear on my board, i was skeptical because i remember learning about how it was bad just forget exactly why. i did it anyways, could that be causing my error?

its a dfi infinity board thats not to old.
