Today I was in El Paso Honda and there was another (I assume) military person in there. This guy was wearing the AF Lightweight Blue Jacket as shown below, along with the blues pants and black standard issue dress shoes.

Rank is pinned on the collar.

This guy's rank looked like a mixture of the Marines' EGA and a medical shield... ...very strange. It wasn't cadet rank, nor was it CAP rank. I would have asked him about it, but I am recovering from food poisoning and still feel nauseated. (I don't want to talk to anyone.)

    Any clues?

Why would the Coast Guard be at Fort Bliss? Wierd.

I seriously doubt this guy was a recruiter.

Navy has a "Utility" jacket that's blue, and can be work witn dungarees, which are denim pants. And the required shoes are black, usually the Boondockers (steel toed shoes issued in boot camp), or regular leather dress shoes.

The only ranks in the Coast Guard that wear collar devices on the Eisenhower jacket is E-7 and above, which would just be their anchors.

(talking active duty enlisted, not cadets)

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Corps (NOAA Corps) is another uniformed service, again i think it's only officers though. they fall under the dept of commerce and like the PHSCC are a "non-combatant" uniformed service.

just a little more useless information that i thought was kinda interesting
