do any of you know where I can get a decent mousepad that is roughly 6"x9"? I'd buy a regular mousepad but I dont know if I can just cut it to fit. Also FWIW it's for an optical mouse (do anyone use trackballs anymore? haha)

    thanks guys :bigthumb:

you more need the mouse pad then to protect the desk than for the mouse. you could use a piece of paper.

yeah mine is kind of like that, except there is no finish left on the desk. the veneer is completely gone haha. I dont want the same thing to happen again.

edit: the only problem is that there is a small space on the desk for the mouse, and most mousepads are too large. Not sure if I can just cut them.

yes, you can just cut one of those pads. you could even go for a smooth piece of rubber or something like that. i've got an optical mouse and i just taped a piece of paper down to protect the desk. you may even want to try some clear plastic or something like that.

Dayuum. That's one thing that's great about using a ball track mouse.
No mouse movement, no wrist cramps, no desk problems.

Sometimes when I'm just lurking through threads, i'll just grab it and hold it in my left hand at lap level, and surf away.

    Very comfy that way.

you should think about getting a sheet of laminate and putting that down as a mousepad

sadly my optical mouse won't work an a frosted glass table, so i can't use it without a mousepad when i have my pc hooked up to my tv

I was going to mention how it could make sense to use a bigger pad.
That's one of the things that used to annoy me about the smaller ones, was having my wrist sit against the edge of the mouse pad.

yeah its too bad that the keyboard sliding panel is not so wide. with the keyboard being on the edge of the panel, I only have about 6.5'-7" of room for a mouse movement. Damn compact desks haha

edit: I'd throw up the mouse on the top of the actual desk, but 1. its going to be uncomfortable having to move my hand when I want to type, and 2. I think my pc steering wheel controller will be in the way (damn I'm a loser)
