no screencaps, as nothing pops up

in any folder, if i mouseover- let alone select- *any* .avi file, explorer (that particular folder anyway) crashes

it's been doing this for a few months now, but i've been working around simply by opening wmp9 and going to file> open

now it's just plain annoying but google isn't helping out on this issue

you're probably missing the codec for one of the videos. set the view to details or list, something that won't try to show a thumbnail of the video and it should work.

because thats almost always the problem, but it shouldnt still happen if its not trying to make a preview of the video.

Some dll files are bad that are cracked, some cracks fork up a good running program and if you're wanting to argue with us about our advice, go for it!

Same thing happens to me, so I'm in for replies.

Although it's not that big of a deal to me, I just right click the file, and open with VLC. :dunno:

    P.S.
I've noticed it only happens on larger files (>100 MB). Maybe my lowly 1.8 GHz processer cannot handle it. :wtc:
