GUN weird 7.62x39 ammo *pics*

    never seen any like this. thought it was some kind of magnum round at first. kind of looked like a 35 magnum

    wow, thats weird, never seen it. I wouldnt shoot it though, not knowing if its corrosive or not. Or you could shoot it, and just clean it soon after.

    almost looks like someone pressed some handgun bullet into the case.

    Strange.

    I'd shoot one (from a distance) just to see what happened. I'd be curious to see how they feed.

    To my understanding thats surplus practice ammo, won't feed consistently and maybe not powerful enough to cycle reliably but I'm sketchy on that last point.

    I have some of those E. German though never shot any of it, been told its corrosive though so be sure to clean if you shoot it

    it is corrosive... i have some in 7.62x54r for my mosin's and it is HOT... i'm talking a HUGE fireball. it also shoots about 6 inches higher at 100yards than standard 7.62x54.

    i have some for my sks, im not sure if it's corrosive or not, but I clean it every time i shoot, but it works fine, fairly weak but its shootable.
