Some background on me. 5'9 160lbs 24 yrs old. I want to add some tone and definition. Maybe a little bit of extra bulk but I would like my max body weight to be 180. I'm not new to lifting as I lifted regularly in through high school and at times during college. I need to get back to good shape however before I let it go too far.

I have a full gym membership so access to equipment is no problem and at least an hour everyday to commit. I have heard there are a lot of great fitness trainers in this forum so please recommend me a weight lifting routine to accomplish these goals. All recommendations are welcome and will be appreciated. thanks in advance guys and I'll be checking this regularly over the next couple days as I hope to begin this new program at the beginning of next week.

How about the one labled "so you want to be a body builder, or look like one?"

Or about about the entire archives?

    Fuck you very much.

no I have some from lifting in the past but I want something different. The ones I have done were mostly designed for football.. Florida States speed drill..Buckeye Power routine..Things like that. I don't have any experience with stuff thats more for the everyday lifter thats just looking to keep toned.

the mistake is that not everyone considers a toned but muscular guy (probably what this dude is aiming for) to be a bodybuilder... so they assume that the routine isn't suited for them.

Guy-- try the bodybuilder routine. It's great for staying in shape and getting big muscles. If you don't want to get huge, then don't eat a huge amount. That's all you have to worry about-- your diet. If you wanna get cut but not be super scrawny then try the workout and diet, you will not get huge. Also, add in deadlifts onto back day. You're all set.

Yeah because doing Pur's routine will turn you into a hulking mass of 300lbs @ 4% bodyfat with a huge GH gut in three weeks.

you're not going to magically turn into a bodybuilder, that is just an effective routine for all types of training.
