I'm just about finished with my N-Large 2, and I gained some weight but not that much (but it was my fault, because prior to this month my workout was really sporatic b/c I was working over the summer). My question for you guys is two part... is weightgainer even that useful? The reviews for them say they work, but I trust you guys more than the reviews :hsd: Also, is there antoher one worth investing in or is N-Large 2 good enough for me to stick with?

    FYI I'm 5'7" 125 so that's why I'm using weightgainer :mamoru:

And don't worry, I've been feeding my face hardcore the past week now, too :hsd:

You can make your own shakes that can have just as many calories but not as much sugar

I think I would rather just buy a shake :dunno: Seems like it'd be more efficient at what it does than something I'd just throw together

I don't know fully what I'm talking about (obviously :mamoru: ) but it seems like stuff that I would throw together for calories wouldn't be as healthy as the stuff that they put in shakes, because shakes consist of like exactly what you need, whereas stuff I would use to make a shake would be like 50% what I need and 50% of stuff I don't. I'm not very good at explaining :dunno: But if you guys think I can just make a shake that would be better, where can I get some recipes and stuff?

Oatmeal, olive oil, protein powder, milk, and natty pb isn't exactly bad for you, especially compared to a weightgainer

Somethin to think about :bigthumb: I'm pretty much a fag newbie so I'd still have to figure out how much of everything I'd need to put together to make it a good shake for me

2 cups milk, 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1/2-1 cup of oatmeal, some peanut butter, and 2 scoops of protein. Blend it and it's delicious. I probably have a little too much olive oil, but that's pretty much where I get all my fat from.

I have at least 2 of those a day, mainly because I'm waiting for my appetite to come back

How many calories/protein would you guess is in there? Also, I heard olive oil isn't that good for you... like canolla oil or somethin was better? I dunno, it started with a "c" :mamoru:

Olive oil is the good fat. It adds up to around 1000, depends on how much oatmeal and olive oil you have in there

Just make sure you eat about 4-5 good meals per day. In your case you're going to want to get about 250-300 grams of protien to help with the weight gain. I drink a weight gainer shake in the morning along with a bowl of cereal since i'm usually rushed and can't eat that much in the morning anyway for some reason.
