weighted running?

    What is the best way to carry weights while you run so it makes it harder? I was at a field today and just put 50lbs worth of plates in a backpack and ran with it and it worked great, but the only thing is its gonna tear the backpack. whats the best method to run with weight like that?

    Add weights at the ankles/wrists?

    that, or wear chainmail

    You can buy weighted vests that will distrubute the weight better. it seems like running with a backpack on would be painful.


    http://www.weightvest.com/ is a site for them, but I don't know the best. It was discussed not too long ago you might try searching.

    I use to just fill my backpack up with books after school and go running... Now I just increase the distance if its a nice day outside.

    like uglybob said, the vest would be your best bet...weight distributed evenly around the trunk would be more comfortable and wouldn't put a strain on your back/shoulders

    Yup.

    Just go to a medieval warfare place and get some armor. Wear that shit like 12 hours a day, busts ass.
