Alright, so I read the n00b thread, and it has given me a slightly better idea as to what I need to do to go about getting into better shape.

My question is this. I am a 6'1" 185lb dude, and have a fair amount of fat to get rid of. I wouldn't call myself fat, but I'm far from the shape I want to be in, which is lean and muscular. Slightly bigger than I am now, but not "big."

What's the best way to achieve this? I'm seriously braindead when it comes to fitness and nutrition... anybody who has tips/personal experience, or maybe just knows what to do... help, hahah.

Yo if I wanted your dickhead response I would've specified. I have never done this before, this shit confuses me... I hear a thousand different things from different people about the best way to lose weight and get in shape and I'm looking for people who've had success for some tips, get off your high fucking horse, jerk off.

See, I have been eating well, lifting, and doing cardio (every day)... and I haven't really noticed a change. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I've been doing this for about 4-5 months now; I know not to expect to look perfect within this timeframe, but I would expect something to have changed.

you hear a thousand things from different people because different things work for different people, like dirtysouth said, just eat well and lift the weights.

you are eating too much then, or not doing enough cardio.

Thats a better question than your origional. You need to specify you lifting routine, diet, amout of cals, ect, in order for people to tell you what you're doing wrong.

    start recording your calories

then come tell us what you are doing everyday, exercise and nutrition and from there we can critique it

    i started at 6' 180lbs in sept

im now 6' 158lbs in feb. i started losing massive weight when i stoped doing cardio and only lifting. i think this happened because i didnt eat enough. that is my advice to you, eat healthy and lift.
