weight/diet question

    ok so i've been on this diet where i eat predominantly fruits and vegetables, i eat enough not to feel hungry and i exercise ALOT. But when eat some protein like chicken, my weight jumps up like 5 lbs the next day. I was 178 lbs yesterday afternoon, i ate some chicken (not too much) and then this morning im 185 lbs. What's going on?

    btw, explain this diet more... If you eat almost no protein, it's a shitty diet.

    i eat protein but i say like every 2 days or so

    i sometimes think i lose alot of water, and then gain it back when i have protein or something, cos 5 lbs in a night for what i eat is ungodly i think, but i could be wrong, im new to this so i don't know

    im trying to get down to my nominal weight of 165 lbs, i go to the gym and lift everyday

    ok look

    if you dont eat protein, you will lose a significant amount of muscle mass. i'm willing to bed that the majority of the weight you have lost so far has been muscle and not fat. this will leave you weak and still looking flabby when you get down to the weight you want. any diet where you dont eat protein is fucking retarded.

    here is what you do:
    switch to a diet where you eat a lot of protein, and cut out the simple carbs. get at least 1g protein/lb bodyweight a day, and fill in the rest of your calories with clean fats and complex carbs.
