When I was in highschool my baseball coach gave us a chart that showed how much weight and how many reps we should do on a given day (for bench press and squat) based on our max. Does anyone know where I could find something like that?

You could find it on the internet but charts like that, while a good starting point, aren't something that should be followed religiously.

If you know your one rep max you can figure out how much weight to use at say 6 reps, 4 reps, 2 reps, etc ... and vice versa ...

Are you telling me that or the thread starter?

Also, determining your 1rm based off what you did for 8 reps is retarded. There are so many variable to take into account, yes they will be in the ballpark but they really aren't accurate.

That's what I'm looking for (starting point). I've Googled quite a bit and I can't come up with anything. Do you have something in mind?

Not really, it varies from person to person. I've seen people that can bench 275x10 that max at 345 and people that can only rep 275x6 that also max at the same weight.
