I've done atkins for the last 16 months and am moving onto the Paleo Diet for Athletes. For this I will need to start counting calories and measuring my food.

For those of you who measure food, do you weigh it pre or post cooking? Does it vary on what your cooking ie meat vs vegetables? Anyone recommend a good scale?

you weigh uncooked based on the serving size on the nutrition label unless it says "cooked"

    I use a Salter digital.

For meat and rice, I weigh it after it's cooked. For stuff like oats, I weigh before cooking. Always make sure to look up the calories based on whether it's cooked or not.
