so i'm halfway through a week long break and to my surprise my muscles look fuller and harder than they did last friday. as hard as it was to take a week off from lifting i thought i'd give my body a short rest before i start bulking hard. so far its turned out great.. last time i did this all my lifts increased a bit when i got back and i'm hoping to experience that again. anyone else have any experiences like this?

    No :squint:

I'd probably gain 50lbs in fat. and my love handles would touch the floor.

If your lifts go up after a week off, you are probably overtraining a bit.

who cares, keep on overtraining until you take another week off. I used to do it all the time, hardly gain a pound when I was lifting for about 8 weeks 5/6 times a day and then stop for a week and pack on 5+ lbs

I've taken about a week and a half off, due to things that prevent me from working out, and I feel so weak AND I've lost 5 pounds. :eek4:

i don't feel i'm overtraining, i know my body pretty well.. and i am gaining steadily throughout. i just think my body needs an extra break sometimes..

i took most of 3 weeks off, just about to start back

drank, stayed out late, ate somewhat dirty

made sure to catch up on my sleep during the day and I can tell I made progress
