it's a toss up between redhat 9 vs FreeBSD 4.8 (possibly the 5.x beta)

I might give the beta Fedora project a shot just for shit's n'giggles. Any suggestions?

hehe, i'm so glad you guys actually understand what it is. I was trying to show/explain it to a few people who came over and they were like "ohh it's only 2ghz?" hahah, and good luck explaining low level registered ddr333 to computer illiterate people.

oh well, good thing I get to share it with a few people who understand it :)

thanks guys, i'll post some more shot when I get it in the case and all running.

    What motherboard is that?

I must be crazy because I can only see a northbridge, no southbridge, and the NB has that dinky green HS on it...

Bonus  points for the vertical CMOS battery though!

You should also look into a Zalman 7000 AlCu to cool that bad boy :yum:

it's the SK8N. I'll be honest I do not know how to explain the north & South bridge. Basically how it works is the cpu can communicate directly w/ the ram. I really can't explain it.
