Well, my company banned any "weapons" related websites at work today. Seems someone heard me watching some of my home videos on YouTube and was alarmed by the sound of gunfire. This alone caused the individual to shit his/her pants when he/she realized what I was watching.

Needless to say, my supervisor had a talk with me regarding my usage of these websites (calguns.net, youtube.com, ar15.com) and asked that I not talk to my coworkers about firearms anymore. Thought I knew my fellow employees better. Guess not. :greddy:

I know how it was blocked. I'm one of the administrators of the Websense software. In fact, I have records of my supervisor surfing myredbook.com (NSFW) when no one else is around. :mamoru: I wouldn't tell anyone though. He's ex ARMY and owns an AR-15 carbine, too. :bigthumb:

I'm glad I admin my network at my office. It doesn't hurt that my father owns the place and is an avid shooter, and the other guy has/does own firearms and has no problems with them.

That's bullshit, and your co-workers sound like sheep.

Sometimes I bring new guns to work to show them off...you might not want to do that.

If you have a CHL, you'd better not let 'em know.

Same here. I can undo the changes that he made, but I'd rather not undermine his authority. There are other ways to get out to the net without being tracked. They gave me this cool device called a mobile phone. Even included an internet plan on it. Said it was for on call purposes and to check my email offsite, but I hear that it can be used as a mo-damn. :hsughno:

Ask them to put it into writing. If they won't/can't, then you can safely ignore it :bigthumb:

This is why I try to keep any weapon related conversations at the office to a minimum.

I'd rather not get caught surfing for this stuff. I'll do it on my own time, breaks and lunch, using my phone's internet connection.
