So, anyone fix their web-apps or sites for this yet? June is coming up fast!
thought it affects the client? As in a client patch needs to be installed.
It affects the client, and there is a Patch to turn it off, but the patch only lasts until the June update cycle, when it will be removed by Microsoft in the June security updates. In order to keep web sites and web apps working as they do today the developers need to change the code they use to call active content. Otherwise the user has to turn it on manually for each instance (and some applications, i.e. Siebel, just break completely in some instances).
been adding / to all > for img br replacing width height and all others with styles and other bullshit like that for 20 servers worth of websites godbless search and replace ><
Wow. You would think something that was going to break active content in IE for a lot of sites and applications would get more attention. Guess June will just be known as "why doesn't my Flash page work anymore" month.
It took four attempts to read this all the way through.
After the sixth time I think I finally realize what you're saying and decided that what you say has nothing to do with what's being discussed.
whats going on here?
can anyone elaborate?
thats what you get for programming a site with activex... june will be the day that all the standards complient sites get the last laugh, at least for a while
