I run a fairly popular car forum for the NC area. I also use another domain name just to host our videos. The former hosting provider was a local guy who has now shut his business down. So our videos are currently without hosting....

If I was to seek hosting, I would be looking for around 1.5 gig of storage, and 200gig or more if available of data transfer. Ive done alot of searches and bandwidth that high is either not offered through most hosts, or you are paying out the ass for it.

Im wondering what my options are? Can anybody reccomend a hosting company I should look into. Or perhaps just buying our own server and doing our own video hosting isnt out of the question. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you are looking into dedicated I would first ask you if you know somewhat how to adminstrate a server. If you don't, then you are going to have to pay more to get it adminstrated for you. But, its pretty cheap to run your own from a colo center. I'de recommend www.ev1servers.net ... one of the biggest datacenters in the world and you can get a server for about $100, tons of bandwidth, an 80 gb hd, and a connection to a main pipe that most "resellers" that you will find won't have access to. I've always had a fond believe that shared hosting sucks and if you can't control what happens to the box, then it's possible that it could always go down when you need it up.
