web site question...

    how do i setup a web site so that it looks like this site does?

    link removed...it is a spam site now

    i have a web hosting account with godaddy and when i go to

    i am setup with a windows server. does it matter if i am using windows or linux?

    make sure you don't have an index.html file in that directory

    It's called directory browsing. If you're running Windows you will most likely have a cpanel you can log into to modify your site's settings. Make sure it's turned on for that particular directory.

    I think by default it's turned off on IIS and on for Apache

    from my experiences all the windows servers dont list files under directory. I know there is a setting but I forget... unix other hand has the directory listing as default

    Create a text file with this line:

    Options +Indexes

    Save it as .htaccess
    Upload to directory you want to view files in.

    Thats what I had to do, not sure if that is your problem or not though.
