I'm up for it, but I won't be able to compete against you weight-wise.

What are the criteria of the challange? Will the weight used be based upon your body weight?

I don't think my wrist would survive the power clean at the beginning.

If I was able to do the lifts I'd be all about it. I havn't o-lifted in a while, it'd be fun to see where I was at.

    no weight categories, instead:

    bodyweight/2 + 25pounds

so i would be at about 160 for mine

if you weighed 200 you would do 125

1 rep = clean + front squat + pushpress + backsquat + behind the neck pushpress

    5 reps continuous = 1 set

the contest would be to see if you could do 5x5 in < 20 minutes. I may have to adjust the time though...not sure yet. The weight is such that even if you suck at the oly lifts you should be able to do these fine. If done correctly the whole thing should look like one fluid motion, although I have to reset my hands sometimes.

just something to see where your anaerobic/aerobic conditioning is

4 sets x 5 reps using your calculations? I'm going into the gym to try this.

Interesting... Almost every day at the gym after a 5 min get your sweat going run I do a 3 sets of something similiar to warm me up proper before I start my routine. It goes like this:

    5 reps clean + 5 reps deadlift + 5 reps powerpull + 5 reps back squat

I usually do 2 or 3 sets till I feel ready to play proper. I use about 130 pounds, and I do the whole thing (3 sets) in maybe 5 mins.
I think I could do your routine in under 5 mins as well with the same weight.

    Tonight I shall try.

Half my spine is stiff, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. The weight I'm supposed to use is 117.5, I started off with 2 sets of 95, absolutely dead by the last rep. Moved it up to 115 and when I brought it down for the back squat on the 4th rep I couldn't push press it up the whole way, I hit my head both times cause it went up and down.

Definitely a challenge, I want to get my form corrected and try it again.

I did these today at the end of my usual workout after reading this thread this morning.

    They weren't that difficult :dunno:

    I am 6'1" 185lbs

3 guys walked by me in the gym doing the :hsugh: face...
