If I didn't know better, I'd swear that article was written by OT's own Karnajj.

I bet those 7000+ people attending church in Colorado Springs last year would disagree as it was an armed female churchgoer who shot and killed the attacker and saved dozens of lives .

She shot AT the attacker. The attacker shot himself.

(CNN) -- A gunman attacked worshippers at a Colorado Springs, Colorado, megachurch Sunday afternoon, killing one person and wounding four others before being killed by a security staff member, the city's police chief said.

    Check your facts.

    http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/12/09/church.shooting/index.html

Chief Richard Myers called the Colorado Springs church security staffer "a courageous security staff member who probably saved many lives."

yeah I remember it was a security guard that ended the conflict. I remember there being some confusion as to whether her shots killed him, or whether after being incapacitated the gunman killed himself.

I'm not going to scour the internet for the other articles on it, but there WERE other articles that later stated that her bullets did not actually kill him, it was found that his own bullets killed him. So he shot himself.

I have always like how when they quote data like this people fail to mention that the term "children" in firearm's deaths include people up to the age of 21.
