I bought the WD1200JBRT series today and I'm not sure what the main difference is between the JB series. I was told the only thing is... is it comes in a clear plastic case and not in the box like the JB series would.

Anyone know if that is true? And if there is any other main differences? I was shooting for the JB series and not the JBRTL series, just because I saw more reviews on the HD, and it just seemed better.

I got it for a pretty sweet deal of only $58 after rebates today, so I'm hoping it is true that the only difference between the two HD series is the box =X

It just means retail. Comes in a nice box with cables/screws/set up disc/instructions/etc. You probably just got the bare drive itself and nothing more, right?

WD is using plastic packaging now (at least on the last hard drive I purchased)
