Ways to measure body fat??

    I want an accurate way to measure my body fat %...
    those weight scales are way off from what i hear, so anyone know where i can get a calliper (dont know if thats spelled right)?
    but its those fat pinchers :wiggle:

    here's your possible methods in order of acccuracy from worst to best.

    * electric-resistance devices, such as scales or hand-held devices.
    * calipers
    * bod-pod
    * hydrostatic weighing
    * DEXA scan

    the last three are all pretty accurate. and of course there is visual approximation but that can vary from horrible to great depending on the person judging.

    Calipers are highly user dependant and can easily be as accurate as the others for trending if performed by the same person and using an appropriate forumula. I could maintain a -/+ 1% with a four point on my former clients as compared to hydrostatic weighting. I had 7 clients do the hydrostatic when the truck came to the gym and I took all their measurements prior to thier test to see my profiencancy.
