anyone care to clue me in on cultural signifigance if any watermellon has?
uh i heard it has sexual significance....
Well, there is a japanese game where you spin the person around and they have a stick and they try to hit and crack open a watermelon on the ground. However, it has no sexual connotation, this game that is.
5 cute girls in skimpy bikinis trying to hit the watermelon with a stick at the beach during summer vacation
recurring little scene, i also wondered what the hell that means
it tastes good
the best version being the one in Full Metal Panic season 2
It's also in Angelic Layer too episode 21. I know cause I just watched it and that scene. It's a comedy scene with not a whole lot of sexual connotation in my mind at least.
i dunno. i naruto there's a bit in the anime that plays off the pun, where the Perverted Master (the Frog-summoning guy) tells Naruto to get him some "nice fruit" and means a girl, but Naruto brings back a watermelon.
maybe it's the triangle wedges they slice them into, or something.
Is watermellon more of a rarity in Japan than it is here in the States? Might explain a lot if it is.
they have cubic watermelons
