went back to one of my fav waterfalls to shoot since the water has been down and would give me a chance to move around.... also shot with the mamiya this time instead of my 35mm.

I wouldn't normally like the dark shadows, but it really makes the waterfall pop out of the scene. :bigthumb:

the only pic to have any adjustment in contrast is the 2nd one. It's got a +18 adjustment.... most of the contrast is just from shadows in the rock I guess....

I just finished another B&W conversion from this set. it's 2 shots stiched together.

    very very nice indeed.

Maybe a little over-contrsated for my liking but the effect it creates is pretty cool.

to everyone complaining about the contrast... those are straight from the camera with no adjustments other than the B&W conversion....

I actually used fuji 64T film for these(didn't realize till I hiked down there it was all I had in my bag), which gave the pics a blue hue to them.. that and the cobination of the horrible colors down there this time of year I decided B&W would be the way to go

here's one of the color versions... it's the only one I've got right now

it's something with the conversion then because I made no contrast adjustments. probably the adjustment to the curves it does.

for these I used an action I dl'd from http://www.atncentral.com/download.htm#Image_Enhancements

    it's the Dragan Monochrome action.

most of the time I do the conversion myself using the channel mixer, but I liked the results from this action better.
