Waterburys 30 day mass workout - interesting read

    Really, its nothing new. It's based on dft where you systematically overreach/overtrain followed by a peroid of deload for supercompensation. Personally, I like Poliquin's 3 day on/5 day off method better.

    sounds very easy and only bare minimum equipment is needed.

    though i think it's missing stuff for shoulders. (edit: i missed the shoulder presses, disregard) i'll read it again later. maybe try this after i'm done with rippetoe.

    doesn't look like it works the legs that well. the squats are kind of weird. Maybe ill try it for fun while on vacation because it does not need much equipment.

    The thing i don't get about waterbury, is every few weeks he releases his new training routine, that is meant to solve all the problems of the world, from his 'latest research'.

    I much prefer striking with something like Purs, and working on performing the exercises correctly, and lightly adding or removing something every month or so.

    or just focusing on getting my numbers up

    The Article came out just as I finished up 10 weeks on the program Pur posted, so I decided I try it out. I'm on Day 6 currently, and although it's kicking my ass, I'm not really experiencing any real soreness. The leg workouts, though they look simple, are really intense. We'll see how it goes :o

    You didn't stick with the Pur routine for that long, how were your gains from it?

    I'm 6'1", my weight went from ~160 to 173.5 (cold as of this morning). Noticeable difference all around, but primarily in my legs and chest. BF ~13% I think. All around satisfied with the program, and will go back on it for another 10 week cycle after I'm done with this one. Wont post pics until I'm at least 180 :o

    10 AM - 4 Scoops Cytogainer w/ 16oz 2% Reduced Milk

    12 PM - Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill Plain + LG Chili :o

    4 PM - Natural Chicken Chop Chop Reg.

    7 PM - 2 Scoops Cytosport Complete Whey w/ 12 oz Water

    8:30-9:30 PM - Gym Time

    10 PM - 5g Creatine

    10:30 PM - Home Cooked Meal (Uncontrolled, though I try to stick w / just protein + carbs) w/ MultiVitamin

    12:15 AM - ZMA

    1:00 AM 4 Scoops Cytogainer w/ 16oz 2% Reduced Milk

    Sleep

    Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

    hmm not what I expected... you stayed away from the eggs and oatmeals completely?

    thanks though - I might incorporate some of that into my plan :)
