what are your thoughts?
watch survivor show, they lose weight but in the after show they have gained it all back
starving isn't a good diet unless it's like a stomach stapling surgery where you don't eat for months except a bit here and there
The only time that water manipulation is important is precomp in a sport where weight or hardness matters.
bye bye lbm
A guy I know who coaches football locally tried a water fast and he fucked up his body's insulin levels so badly that he managed to develop diabetes. Your body needs food.
EDIT- Just for reference, I don't know how long it took him to allow his body to mess up like that. I just know what he did and what it caused.
I think you've got it all wrong, he's talking about not drinking water. Not, not eating food.
But. TL-S (as usual) is right.
no water = dead
I'm pretty sure he's saying that all he'll consume is water.
Peal is correct. Water fasting is consuming nothing but water.
Peal pretty much summed up what I didn't make clear. 99% of the time when "water fast" is suggested it means consume nothing but water for an extended period of time.
I dont mean to lose weight I meant other health benefits from fasting.
as far as I'm concerned there aren't any health benefits in fasting. It's one of those natural things thats meant to happen like, breathing, shitting, thinking. Would depriving oxygen be healthy?
Well think about this, how is anything "healthy" supposed to be derived from denying your body any nutrition? Seriously, think about that for a minute. You could send your body into shock, which is really bad, from doing something too drastic such as a fast.
In that case I changed my mind, it is idiotic for anyone, with no exceptions. Welcome to anorexiaville, population you.
My bad... thanks for clearing that up. Yeah. Thats one of the more idiodic things I've ever heard.
And if you're drinking nothing but water for a time period, you're more than likely gonna have to drink a lot of water to get rid of the stomach pangs - that could put you at risk of kidney problems right?
