I know water drop macros are cliche but I've never done one before :o Only a little sharpen and crop, other than that, straight from the camera.

And before anyone says anything about the blurred foreground, my camera has a real narrow DOF when shooting macros. I like the dreamlike effect though :hs:

I think it turned out really good. It's kind of cool how it's just focused on the larger water drops. Colors are very nice.

Nice, the DOF doesn't bother me at all, I think it adds to it

Thanks :bigthumb: Yeah, I was thinking of making some prints - a poster's a good idea too. Gotta go find a local place to have it printed out :)

Thanks :bigthumb:. I also think the blur adds to the overall effect and adds a little depth to the photo. It makes the focused part that much sharper IMO.

I should, my current one is pretty old :hs: Do you recommend any particular website to get this done? I've seen a few but would like a place that sells quality ones.

I have no idea. Just one of my pet peeves is mouse pads that are water drops. I hate them

Sorry guys, I'm having some prints made and am planning to sell them so I don't think it's in my best interest to post the full version (even if you're just gonna use it for a desktop image) :hs: But if you want an 8"x10" print of it (or bigger), feel free to PM me :o :x:

I love the depth-of-field here. This is one of those rare occasions where DOF like this is good in macro photography.

I have a whole serious of water drops and splashes... I may post them here if I feel like it.

with a macro you usually end up with a really narrow DoF, gotta shoot wideopen sometimes for the light if you don't have a ring flash :hs:

That's neat how I can see buildings in the larger dropplets. This was on a car, after you washed it, wasn't it :noes:
