"My fucking car accelerated out of control, and I couldn't slow it down in any way!"
"Shame on you Toyota for being so greedy."

You fucking axe wound, you're a prime example of why women shouldn't be allowed behind the wheel. If you're too goddamned stupid to:
    a) Put the motherfucker in neutral; or
    b) Turn the goddamn key off,

You deserve to slam into a fucking retaining wall, you ignorant cunt.

No, because my mother has the good sense to figure out how to stop a car with a stuck accelerator pedal.

no key = have to hold start button for 3 seconds to turn car off in that situation = not intuitive.

Even the ABC reporter who knew that it was going to happen admitted that he got "flustered" for a brief moment and didn't know what to do. If you are going eighty miles an hour in a mini van with kids screaming in the back it might be enough for you to lose it and have your whole family die.

If you are arguing that it is no big deal, that people should just know what to do when their car doesn't do what it is supposed to then you are kind of ignorant. :dunno:

    But please, continue to posture.:ugh2:

Toyota knew this shit was going on and did nothing because they didn't want to pay for a major recall. That is criminal.

LOL @ people thinking that sitting safely behind your computer, rationally making decisions in any way compares to barreling out of control and being scared to death.

Yes, it's fucked up and they deserve to have their stock plummet, but honestly, wouldn't your first reaction be to slam the breaks at least? :o

I think neutral is the best bet. I think pulling the key out (or in the horrible accident's case, holding the power button 3 seconds) disables power steering so the car is more difficult to control

No, faggot. If you've taken the responsibility to pilot 2,000 pounds of steel down the fucking road with other motorists with your kids in the backseat, you should take the responsibility to know how to react in an emergency situation.

    First and foremost, in fact.

Do you need me to explain to you why you're a moron, or do you think maybe you"ll figure it out on your own?

Oh wait, we both know that won't happen. As soon as you have time I'll try to explain it you you. I'm assuming you'll need pictures drawn in a popup book faggot?

i have had a throttle kicker stick on a truck before.
    I
    1)did not panic
    2)put the truck in neutral
    3) pulled over and turned off the truck

then proceeded to fix the problem.......... Now thinking about it I should have hit a tree and sued dodge.
