Ok so I got a nice ammount of OT on my next paycheck, and I'm debating on what to do with it, I'm thinking about getting a .223 AK, I've already got a few 7.62's and one 5.45, .223 would be nice cause ammo is easily available. Now I can get a WASR3 for about $320, anyone have one? I assume I should be looking for same thing as all other rommy rifles, canted sights and what not, do the steel german 5.56 mags go in easily? I dont want to bother with converted ak74 mags cause that will be end up being to confusing being I own both. I dont want one of the more expensive 5.56 ak's if im spending more then $400 I rather just go ahead and get an arsenal 5.45.

I just got a WASR, shot it once in early December just to try it out. Fucking cold, didn't shoot for long. Will investigate more in the spring :x:

Saw this one and grabbed it - missed my opportunity to grab an SAR-2 before they were gone / banned in CT and didn't want to pass this one up.

Its the WASR3 in 5.56 or a 7.62 one? I already got SAR1 and 2 for beater rifles, would like to add 5.56 to the mix, I might go with a VEPR or SAIGA instead in .308 :dunno: if its the 5.56 i assume you shot it with the included converted 74 mag, did it feed reliably?

WASR-3 5.56. I have a black small mag that came with it and a bakelite one, I had problems with them both feeding properly. Wolf ammo also had a hard time ejecting the casing.

It's no finely machined AR-15 that's for sure
