Is it possible to wash a vehicle too much? Recently, with all the miles I drive and all the bugs and shit that accumulate on my car, I've been washing it 1-2 times per week. Is this washing the car too much? And, is washing the car too much detrimental in any way?

As long as you are using a proper car wash soap and soft terry cloth towels or microfiber towels to dry it, you can pretty much wash your car every day if you want.

I have a customer who washes his car 5-6 times a week and his car always looks great-and even at the end of the 3 year lease he usually goes for, his paint looks incredible-but I do wax his car 6 times a year.

I wax 4 times a year, and polish twice a year.
