    ...by a girl :wtc: i was in the middle of doing some good mornings when she approached me

    her: "uh...are you doing squats?"
    me: "no"
    her: "well if you are i can show you the proper form"

    she was cute and i should have let her proceed with the demonstration but i was too embarassed to continue. ive always felt like my GM form was fucked up, and it seems like she confirmed it.

    its darker than mayor nagin but critique what you can. also, i have a question about chris' 5x5 routine. on light squat day should i ever feel like im struggling on the 3rd set? a part of me feels that because its "light" squats i should always use sub-maximal weight, but im not sure :dunno:

    btw, if she thinks yours doing squats and you're actually doing gm's ofcourse shes going to think your form is shit.

    :wtc: 5'11" 180. im only a few weeks into the 5x5 routine, and before that point i was adrift in high reps and too little calories. hopefully ill start adding some mass soon. ill post a side view with better lighting when i get back from the store

    I would've told the stupid cunt to mind her own goddamn business and that she could squat on MY barbell.

    Why didn't you just tell her you were doing GM's and that they're a completely different movement than squats?

    correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you were supposed to keep your legs bent at a constant angle all the way through the movement? :dunno:

    oh i did. i went so far as to explain that good mornings would be good for my back and not detrimental, which is something she was worried about. even though she had no clue what a good morning was it struck me that if someone could confuse what i was doing with squats i probably wasnt doing them right to begin with. has something to do with what grouch was saying, that im bending at the legs too much

    I don't bend my knees while I'm doing GM's. They are bent, but I keep them at the same angle. Also I stick my ass out more.

    i dont weigh my self naked in the morning after taking a piss so you can subtract a few pounds, but im right around there. and she left the leg press to lecture me on squats, so youre right it could have been entertaining to see her 45 degree squat. or she could have doubled up my weight and embarassed me :o

    You're bending your legs TOO much. Stand 7-8" from a wall and practice the right form to keep your butt from going past the wall
