this really sucks... if you're like me and you had an older ipod be warned..

although it is compatible with the firewire cable to charge it using the power adapter.. i did this and it only took around 45 mins to fully charge... vs what it says in the manual (3 hours)

:dunno: i don't really see it as a problem since it comes with a usb cord, unless you have an older mac that for some odd reason has firewire and not usb. Thanks for the heads up though.

looks like i'll have to get a USB 2 PCI card...

hmm but maybe this is an excuse for me to get a USB2/FireWire 2 card?

It was clearly stated on the specs page that it doesn't use firewire. It will charge from it, though.

I thought firewire was better than USB 2. Guess I was wrong.

That sucks. I assumed that it only came with a USB. If I would have bought one, that would piss me off to have a firewire and usb cables laying on my desk instead of one firewire. Oh well, minor detail. Enjoy the nano.

And yes, firewire is better then usb.

USB sucks. Firewire is ten times better and the fact that apple is moving away from it bothers me. Morons... :ugh

if they didn't, they probably wouldn't have grabbed the amount of PC users who bought one. I wish it just came with both cords

I don't mind that it comes with USB. But I've transfered files with USB to an iPod, and it is so much freaking slower then Firewire. Even though USB 2.0 is "faster" it lags too much.
