my gf couldn't sleep that night either...

She grew up in a crazy, Pentecostal church where all the pastor ever did was read from the Book of Revelations. My gf said that the stuff she saw in that movie reminded her of the stuff that was screamed into their head every Saturday and Sunday (and three other nights, every week).

(she left that crazy church a few years ago, btw)

I think the image that really got to me was when Ray ran out of the delapidated shack to find his daugther and he sees the entire landscape covered in human blood... blood in the air... blood on the ground... blood everywhere... human viscera littering the ground.

    :noes:

Well if it makes you feel any better those weren't really human parts on the ground, they were little roots that the aliens grew I think. But yes they did contain human blood so they did remind me of the human vascular system.

that's the thought that sticks to the back of my mind... this could really happen and we would be powerless to do anything about it.

I think signs was better at conveying (how ever you spell it) the sense of realism in the "invasion" because of the presentation of the invaders, although war of the worlds just flat out scared the living shit out of me.

I saw it yesterday. I thought the movie was great. As much of a jackass as Cruise has been as of late, you forget about it cause the acting was unreal
