I know, it was so fucking innacurate. I seroulsey doubt that anyone can mutate to gain superpowers such as controlling of storms and all that shit. I was born near Chernobyl, and I don't have the power to transform into anything I want. I mean, come on! Fucking Hollywood, trying to tell us this actually exists.

they got everything spot-on... then at the end they fuck up on such a simple thing as what planes did what.

p-47's were tank busters. p-51's did bomber support and shit like that. they COULD do ground attacks... but they werent "tank busters."

i don't know. WWII aviation is "my thing."
    maybe i'm touchy.

I didnt think Jarhead was too far off base. It showed the camraderie of a unit, the inside jokes they all hold. And all the stress and bull shit we have to put up with. And for those of you who say it made us look gay, you just don’t know how to take a joke. That or you’re a homophobe.

One thing that really pissed me off was “ Doom” they did an all right job making them all bad ass an shit, then they have “ The Rock “ calling everybody soldier.. That’s a no no.

Jarhead - Sniper Training anyone? The sniper school was put on by the Battalion? Or was it put on by the post ...then how did Jamie Fox transition back to the battalion? Why was an E-6 in charge of the Sniper School? Meh...that was my thoughts.

    Everything spot-on? :hsugh:

In the days just before and just after d-day we got pretty much anything we could up in the air, including p-51's doing attack roles. I just got finished reading the book "Delayed Legacy" about a p-51 pilot who died four days after normandy while doing strafing runs to protect a French village. It should be at your local PX/BX... not well written but a good story if you're interested :hs:
