According to the notebookforums, my E1705 (purchased February 2006) is upgradable to a T7500 plus a 7950GTX video card. In the original thread I made on the site, the guy suggested I go with a T7200 and get an very specific oem fan. The original thread starter talked about AS5 or something like that, alongside with saying that the upgraded video card should just plop in. Anyone have experience with this? Is this relatively easy to do? I don't want to take my computer apart only to break something. :eek3:

I would recommend against AS5.... it's conductive. Not good.

    Not worth upgrading, imo.

    3 was, 5 is not.

To the OP, I would use AS5. It will make a difference of 2 or 3°c.

you're mad dumb son... Silver is pretty damn conductive. You can believe the marketing lies all you want, but Silver is conductive, and not only that -- the small insulating oils they use allow it to be capacitive!
