i would have a gym membership, but i just started out on my own, and im still struggling. no support from anyone and im only working a crappy 35h/w job.

im tight on money, so i was wondering what are some other ways of building good sized muscle without the gym, or equiptment.

    I am 5'11 and now at 175.

i used to be 250 a year ago.

Nope you need to go to the gym. Plus food is killer.

If you want to get big you need weights. If you want to the the typical guy with only a 6 pack that's different.

gj on the weight loss. I'm not sure what your definition of "good sized muscle" is but you will need some sort of resistance training to effectively build muscle.

First, check the nutrition sticky and make sure everything is in check.

Then, depending on you current fitness level you may be able to get by for a short while with bodyweight excersizes pushups, pullups, dips, etc. Or maybe get a good set of bands, but this will only get you so far, eventually you are going to need some real weights/gym membership.
