I've never seen the real benefit of trading in a game. My brother works for Gamestop and he says it's pitiful what they give for used games/consoles. I can still sometimes take an old game and play it again if it's been so long I forgot what it was like.

i.e. I've played True Crime: Streets of LA x 2

    It's good right now.

    50% trade in.

A game I'm never going to play again, I'd say I got my monies worth.

I paid 60, played it to death, and can get 35 for it. I'd say I had $25 worth of fun.

This is how it should always be. Dumbass Gaystop giving you $10 for a $60 game that they re-sell for $55. :ugh:

Not sure what Nascar '09 is worth, but after 3 months, my used copy finally sold for $14+$2 shipping on Half.Com.

You niggas that want to sell your games, I HIGHLY recommend Half.Com. You'll get at least half of what the games are worth depending on how old it is. And if it's actually a recent title, you'll damn near get maybe $10 less than what you paid for it new. :x:

FYI sports titles usually have almost no trade-in value

Yeah I know. I was just laughing at the fact it was that low already. I remember EB was doing a trade-in promo back when I picked up FFXI in '04. Sports games were supposed to be excluded but the computer took them anyway so I came out way ahead after trading in a bunch of '02 and '03 EA games.

Selling your games to actual people (friends, ebay, etc.) > trading/selling your games to stores. Then there's no middle man who gets to rip-off both parties. Fuck Gamestop, I don't understand paying $10 below sale price for a used game with no case or booklet when I can get it on e-bay for $10 or less depending on what game.
