I had a camera about a year back(nikon d70) but had to sell it due to financial reasons. I wanted to get back in the game, on the canon side. What body should I get? I was looking at the 20d, 30d, 40d. The xti is too small for my hands. What are the significant differences between the 3? Are they all an upgrade from a d70?

bodies have expiration dates. Spend your $$ on glass, get a body with whats left.

20d and 30d are the same thing except the 30d has picture styles and a larger LCD

40d has some decent improvements but comes with a higher price tag.

I'd start with a 20d. It's a really awesome camera and if the bug continues to bite you can upgrade to the 40D when you have the money and some good glass.

Why don't you want to go back to using Nikon?

20D is great and they are like 400ish used I think

buy some killer glass, like the "lower end" L's (17-40, 70-200/4) and like a 50/1.8 all that is ~1700

Are you trying to work towards being a better photographer, or just trying to be some fake baller? :o

Im thinking about getting this lens soon, to fill the gap between my 10-20, and my newly ordered 100-400 :wiggle:

Anyone have first hand experiance with it? Any other lenses I should look at in that range? somewhere near $500

sweet, thats what I thought, and I heard the tamron is sharper than the sigma, I'll probably get one in a few weeks (need to get a flash or two first)
