GUN Want to get a bipod for my rifle...

    But im a little confused on them. It seems like these Harris bipods are good but I think the only way I can mount one is to get an adaptor that fits over the barrel. Thats not bad for it in anyway, is it?

    Sorry for all the noobish questions. Rifle is a Savage 110FP 30.06.

    You typically mount a Harris to your sling attachment on the stock.

    only if you have a sling swivel stud.

    Savage 110FP's come standard with two sling studs on the foreend of the stock.

    Harris or the Outers/Shooters Ridge clones are the way to go. You can get the clones for about 40 bucks online.

    So since I have one of those little studs for a sling on there, I dont need an adaptor?

    +1 on the Shooters Ridge.. the one nice thing about some of the Harris' though is the notched legs.. not worth it for the extra money, I have a shooters ridge 9-13, works great... check out www.midwayusa.com

    No, they come standard to attach to sling swivel studs.
