to get the GF starting to shoot with me.

Would be nice to have the option of a suppressor so i can shoot in my backyard without annoying the neighbors.

I hate the look of the rugers so they arent an option.

Looking at the buckmarks and the P22.

    suggestions?

I'm looking to pick up a Buckmark soon too. I'd like to find a decent used one for <$200.

    What about a Firestorm .22?

Its the exact same size as a Bersa Thunder (and made by the same company. Bersa Owns Firestorm). Everyone that owns them says they are super reliable. I've held one at a gun shop and it was very well put together.

I can't specifically speak for the .22, but I have about a thousand rounds through my .380 and not one malfunction.

    I like my P22. It's a fun little gun.

I like my P22...it's a bit small for my hands, though. the mosquito is nice, feels like a bigger gun than it actually is, but it's a fun little gun. I'd throw the beretta neos in there as well, but some are put off by its looks.

I have a P22. I like it, it's a bit picky when it comes to the ammo though(hates anything remmington)

The great thing about it is, its the exact dimensions and works the exact same way as a Bersa Thunder. So, great for practice if you get one of those.

If you go with a P22 you may want to see if they are going to fix the extractor soon. There were some rumors over on rfc about this.

I didn't use to care for the looks but that changed after I shot it and actually held it.

That said, I know plenty of people are happy with their P22s. I almost picked one up a target model one the other day for $200 FTF, they're pretty cheap.
