Tell me what you think about it. I'm debating between this and a glock 23c.

    .40 version

Please explain. I was kind of trying to stay off of the glock bandwagon.

I don't like walthers, and I have a few glocks. Not my favorites, but, good guns still.

No personal experience, but the owner of the shop I deal with said he stopped carrying Walthers because of reliability problems. That was before they came out with the P99 & variants though. They are definitely sexy.

I have full size P99 .40 I like it better then my glocks its my carry gun. I've never shot the compact one though :dunno: If you get one make sure you get the all Walther one, the ones with s&w made parts are shit. I haven't had an issues with my full size I  it

I dig my p99c, although some people find it a little snappy and suggest staying with 9mm. The only thing I'd warn you on is that holsters can be a bit of a pain to find.

I also heard that, but I'm not going to let something as minor as holsters affect my purchase decision. Is it compact enough to carry around comfortably?

I'm debating on a compact pistol myself. I've been looking hard at Khar arms.

Might be a possibility for you.

If you're planning to carry it, a holster is not a minor problem ;) I got one made by tucker gunleather for the fullsize p99 and then I can carry either in it. But yeah its definately a nice size to carry iwb, the shorter grip means I can hide it under a tshirt only with no problem.

Was probably with the .40SW made or the SW99. The 9mm I have not heard a single bad thing about.
