So there's a chance we're going to convert one or two of the photo labs to Wacom Cintiq's in the next quarter or two...

So I need to learn how to use this thing. I grabbed myself a 6x11 intous to learn how to use a tablet, configure it, etc.

Any good tutorials or sites dedicated to the setup and such to unlock the potential?

Hell, even with no modifications and no training I can already tell this is going to change the way I work. It's pretty goddam badass. Why hasn't OT bandwagoned this already?

Its much easier to use on my macbook screen (13") than on the 30" cinema display.

I'm going to need a bigger one for the cinema display, the 4x6 is too small for this screen.

I like it, but don't do a lot of heavy duty editing on my normal workflow, usually only when there is an image that I really like, or cleaning up faces in portraits.

I have an old Wacom Artz II 12x12 but I never use it. In fact, it's not even connected and just lying there in the floor. :(

Would love to have a Cintiq though.

This is correct... I got a 6x11 tablet too...awesome tool.

Slightly awkward at first, but once you start in for real -- it becomes totally natural.

its pretty hard to draw clean accurate outlines/contours with a mouse, couldn't be simpler with a tablet.

To get better with the tablet, just take the batteries out of your mouse for a day. No BS.

I just inherited an Intuos 2 from my dooooooosh bag room mate that left me high and dry on rent.

I've been thinking about breaking it out and seeing how this thing works.

    Your mouse has batteries?

I did this today with just the wacom. I REALLY like it in PS, but i'm still relying on the keyboard for the shortcuts...

wireless mighty mouse. old school AA's FTL. :wtc:

But, just using the stylus in place of a mouse for an hour or two gets you used to the feel really quick.

Oh, and nice lumpy jawline, brah. :o
