Don't know if this is in the wrong forum, but I'll give it a shot.

This may sound really lame, but it's an actual concern. I found a couple disposable cameras from a good friend's party from about 2 years ago. I took a bunch of pictures so I could give some to her for memories sake. The problem is, one of my friends may have used the same camera to sneak some up-skirt shots of his girlfriend. Assuming there probably is one or two of said pictures, would it be breaking any laws in the state of NJ to develop these cameras? Sorry for my ignorance.

I'd inform the gf, give her the cameras and money, allow HER to develop them and destroy the offending pictures, then have her give you the normal pictures.

So as long as she gets them developed, it will be okay with the law?

I don't know for sure. The worst that could happen I think is that they simply won't develop the obscene pictures.

yeah it depends where you go but some places will not develop "obscene" photos. No laws have been broken.

But after two years the photos may not turn out that great anyway. Film does expire/deteriorate

Well she was 16 at the time...:ugh: not good? That's mainly what I was worried about. From what my friend has told me, she was definitely wearing underwear if that makes a difference.

So wait, the guys that develop film at your local Walgreens are supposed to track this girl down, two years later, based on pics of her crotch? Riiiiggghhhttt.

It doesnt matter. They probably cant tell how old she is from up-skirt shots of her panties, and given thats what they probably are, they aint really porn. Even if the picture developing place thinks they're too 'graphic' they just wont develop them.

People take naughty pics all the time. The bf used to develop pics at a CVS, and their policy was if someone turned in 'pornographic' pictures to be developed, unless they were of kiddies, they were just to give them back to the person and say "we cant develop them". Most of the time though, he developed them anyway just to see the naughty stuff :mamoru:

oh and i worked at a photo lab... we wont say shit usually unless its obvious child porn... party pics? we assume they are 18.

and we do call the cops for child porn. but your best bet is to goto a 1 hour photo lab and have them 'sent out' (dont get the in house 1 hour service, get the overnight)

then the ppl working there never see the pics

Oh, and just to make you feel better, I had a similar situation happen to me: I had a disposable camera back in college at a party and lost it somewhere during the night. I developed the film at Wal-mart. Apparently, without my knowledge, some of my guy friends found the camera and decided to take pics of their balls. I still got the pics back, though I wouldnt have developed them had I known - ewwwww.

1 hour photo is a boring job, we looked @ all the 1 hour photos that came in, but rarely had time to glance at the ones sent out

There was a picture of my sister on the toilet one time. They took the picture out and put a card in there stating that they could not develop the picture.

I'd send it out overnight, but if it's just an upskirt and she had panties on it most likely will be ok.

This made me think of another similar situation....probably one of the funniest 'stolen camera' stories I've got....
I had a party and kinda passed around a disposable camera - nothing too unusual. I got the film developed, nothing too abnormal. I showed them to my parents, friends, etc numerous times over the years until I was showing them to my friend Rachel who, incidently was at the party but never got a chance to see the pics. She's flipping through them in my parents kitchen and says something like "OMG, Why are you keeping THIS ONE?!?" and hands me a pic of my friend Andrew who had taken a self portrait in the bathroom mirror. The flash distorted most of the pic, it was crappy, but you could still see the frame of the oval mirror, part of his legs, and part of his torso. I said "why, I know its bad, but theres no reason not to." Her response is "No, look, his dick is out!". Lo and behold, at the very bottom of the mirror/pic, you can def. tell that he's opened his zipper and taken his junk out but otherwise is just standing there. This is seriously like 4 years after the party happened and LOTS of people have seen these pics and never noticed....
