That's a hard question. I love both dearly.

I think star wars is more realistic than star trek though.

I'm voting for star wars, but neither one sucks.

I can't vote. Whereas SW is more "realistic" in a sense, Episodes I & II have been so commercial and kid-oriented to almost make me hate it. ST is doing ok, but Enterprise has failed to intrest me the way TNG did.

So to be honest, they both are kinda *meh*

Episodes I and II are not real starwars. I don't count them. They were interesting movies sort of tangentially related to SW, but to me they're not really part of it.

I think it's fair to discount them for the poll.

I just hope Lucas doesn't F up episode III. The final fall of Anakin to Darth Vader HAS to be good, or else.

Don't forget, though, that TNG took about 2 seasons to really hit its stride and find the characters. Season 3 (the one currently playing on TNN^H^H^HSpike) was the first really good season, and the first one where I really felt like the characters were real, not like the actors were struggling to try and figure out who they were.

There doesn't seem to be any depth. In SW, there are a ton of races, but they seem to be in there just as eye candy. Places like "cloud city" are unable to exist, to a point it's comical.

Star Trek is just as one-dimensional, but only to a point where physics are thrown out the window one day, but adheared to the next.

Hard decision for me, because I DO LIKE THEM BOTH! But, if I had to choose one over the other, it'd have to be Star Trek. But only by a little. I think, like Pro Street said, Eps 1 and 2 ruined it for me a little...

I like all of them, but chose ST just because they have tv shows.

and i think that i am the only one who liked the first too episodes of star wars. I thought they were great, and well written. And i don't believe that they are very kid orientated either. Sure they wen't way over board with the cg (the voda battle was ghey as fuck) but still a good movie.

Star Trek movies are cool, but the series; I don't think I've ever seen a whole ep. through, It's boring.
Star Wars has a better flowing plot.

star trek is more of an ongoing development in stories, plots, and characters
star wars is much more of an action and excitment type of thing, not to mention a damn good story

    They're both Sci-Fi mainstays.

But Trek has been a part of my life more than Wars.
